What’s Happening, America?

Today at work, my boss and I were talking about the way our country is going… And she asked me “How did it get to this point? And how are we going to get it back?”

My answer: Because people didn’t stand up against the little things. And before we knew it, the little things turned into one big tyrannical mess.
One public Universities accross the country, preachers and pro-life groups are being arrested and threatened with arrest for not obtaining a “permit”. A permit for preaching on public property? Since when? Since Christians have been too cowardly to stand up against the obserdity, the illegality and the tyranny. They’ve let their constitutional rights slip through their hands, and by the time they realize it, it’s too late. (Scroll down to see GSU Arrest videos)

This past fall, while on tour with Repent America(.com) and Life and Liberty Ministries(.com) we were threatened with arrest for passing out tracts on a public campus. The police set up barriers behind which they allowed us to preach, and threatened to arrest anybody passing out tracts outside of the barriers. Doesn’t sound like America to me. If we don’t stand up against this, it will just get worse. Each little step doesn’t seem too bad, but if you step back and look at the big picture, you’ll hopefully see what’s coming.

So I encourage you, fellow Christians and fellow Americans, to step up and defend our laws, and your right to freedom of speech.
